Murray McPherson
Math Teaching Award

Every year we honour teachers in our community who have contributed to the learning of mathematics. Do you know an exceptional mathematics teacher?

From 1962–1987, MAMT awarded teachers who made outstanding contributions in mathematics education. In honour of the 25th anniversary of MAMT in 1987, the committee established this award as the Murray McPherson Mathematics Award.

The nominee should have “contributed distinguished meritorious service in the field of mathematics education.” Possible areas include: curriculum development, professional development contribution, classroom teaching excellence, and leadership. Current executive members are ineligible.
